How we use the personal details you provide to us
The source of all personal data that we hold is the information provided by you when you make a booking for accommodation or activities.
Data protection law describes the legal basis for our processing your data as contract.
Who we share your data with
We use Free to Book to capture your accommodation booking details. Free to Book will provide you with their privacy policy at the time you make an inquiry.

How long we keep your data
We keep your data for a maximum of 7 years if you have made a booking in line with our finance and auditing guidelines. If you have not made a booking but have opted-in to receive marketing material we hold your details until you choose to unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
How and when we contact you
We will contact you to confirm and process your booking with us. We will request a review if you stay in our accommodation. We will not contact you for any other reason unless you opt-in to receive future email updates from us.
Your privacy rights
Your information is stored securely by the City and County of Swansea for the purposes described above.
We will not share your data with any third parties without your explicit consent unless we are required or permitted to do so by law.
You have the right to request that we provide you with a full copy of any personal information we hold on you, which we are obliged to provide to you within one calendar month free of charge.
Where you believe the personal information we hold is inaccurate, for example where your contact details have changed, you have the right to demand the immediate rectification of any inaccurate data we hold on you.
Where you believe we are holding your personal information beyond the period of retention, you have the right to demand its immediate deletion.
You also have the right to request that we transfer any personal data we hold on you to any other agency that you appoint.

Email tracking
Some emails we track at an individual level to understand whether the user has opened and clicked on the email. We use this information to understand open and click rates on our emails to try and improve them. If you want to be sure that none of your email activity is tracked then you should opt out of the emails by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of these emails.
Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have followed these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
External web services
We use a number of external web services on the Gower Activity Centres site, mostly to display content within our web pages. For example, to display images we often use Flickr; to display slideshows we sometimes use SlideShare; to show videos we may use Vimeo and YouTube. This is not an exhaustive or complete list of the services we use, or might use in the future, when embedding content, but these are the most common. As with the social buttons we cannot prevent these sites, or external domains, from collecting information on your usage of this embedded content. If you are not logged in to these external services then they will not know who you are but are likely to gather anonymous usage information e.g. number of views, plays, loads etc.
